Legend of Zelda X Mario Kart 8 DLC

Next month, Nintendo is due to release new downloadable content for Mario Kart 8 featuring the main protagonist of the Zelda series, Link! You’ll be able to play as Link driving the ‘Master Cycle’, a motorbike designed in the style of the Master Sword. No gameplay footage of Link exists yet, but a piece of official artwork has been released showing Link and his vehicle drawn in the style of Skyward Sword. As you can see below, a Hylian Shield is attached to the bike, and its wheels have triforce symbols painted on.

The DLC also features two new characters aside from Link, Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach. There are also three new vehicles aside from the Master Cycle: the Blue Falcon from the F-Zero series, the B Dasher (a vehicle that has appeared in past Mario Kart games), and the Tanooki Buggy, a jeep coloured to look like a Tanooki tail.

Mario Kart 7 Release Date

All of the release dates for Mario Kart 7 have been revealed, and if you’re from down under you will be pleased! Australia will be getting the game on December 3rd, and it will not be the last continent to get the game – that honor goes to the United States who have to wait until December 4th. Japanese and Europeans gamers can get their hands on Mario Kart 7 on December 1st and 2nd respectively.

I’m sure many of you are looking forward to Mario Kart 7. Virtually all handheld Mario Kart games have been very strong, and Mario Kart 7 looks set to be no exception. The online mode should be superb, especially now you can exchange ghost data with other racers. Mario Kart 7 should also buffer against the mediocre sales of the 3DS – in a IGN-conducted poll, it was discovered Mario Kart 7 is currently the most wanted 3DS game.
