The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages - Trading Sequence

The trading sequence is fairly long, but it is well worth doing it as you are rewarded with the L-2 Noble Sword!

1. Getting the Poe Clock
Go to the Yoll Graveyard, to the bit where the Ghost is floating around outside a gravestone. Just go through the route that leads to the Spirit's Gave dungeon, except that when you get to the bridge, take a detour to the left instead. Pick up the stone and talk to the ghost, he will disappear. Push the tombstone upwards and talk to the ghost again, he will give you the Poe Clock.

2. Poe Clock -> Stationary
Go to the past, and into the Lynna Village post office. The screen containing the post office is to the immediate left of the screen containing the shooting mini game and the GBA shop. Talk to him and the Poe Clock will be exchanged for some stationary.

3. Stationary -> Stink Bag
In the past version of Lynna Village, enter the small hut to the far west of town. A hand will come out of the hole, asking for some toilet paper. Give him it, and you'll be rewarded with the Stink Bag. Awesome!

4. Stink Bag -> Tasty Meat
Now it's off to Crescent Island. Go to the very south east corner of the island, it is in fact the very south east screen of the entire Labrynna map. Enter the house, and talk to the chef. He has a cold, and fears he can't cook well since he cannot smell his food. Use the Stink Bag to clear his sinuses and he will reward you with the tasty meat.

6. Tasty Meat -> Dog Mask
Now it's off back to Lynna City (in the present). Start from the very bottom left hand corner of town, where the roads to the Nuun Highlands and the Black Tower are. Go left one screen, up, then left again. Enter the house and the person behind the counter will complain they are really hungry. Give them the Tasty Meat and they will give you the Dog Mask.

7. Dog Mask -> Dumbbell
Go back to Lynna City (still in the present) and enter the small house on the river bank (the screen containing the house is to the immediate left of the Mermaid/Link statue). Give the Dog Mask to the woman inside, she will trade it for a Dumbbell.

8. Dumbbell -> Cheesy Mustache
Go to the past and head to Symmetry City. Go inside the main central house where the Tuni Nut is, and go downstairs. Give the Dumbbell to the man there and he will give you his Cheesy Mustache.

9. Cheesy Mustache -> Funny Joke
Go to Lynna City (in the present), and talk to the main in the bow tie and tail coat (he is on the screen to the immediate right of the know-it-all bird's hut, and to the immediate north of the dog lady's house). In exchange for your Cheesy Mustache he will tell you a Funny Joke.

10. Funny Joke -> Touching Book
Go into the house the guy who taught you the funny joke is standing outside of, except in the past. Tell the boy inside the Funny Joke, and after a funny sequence, you will be rewarded with the Touching Book.

11. Touching Book -> Magic Oar
You need to bump into Maple in the past in order to complete this part of the trade sequence. For every 30 monsters you kill Maple's next appearance will be triggered, click here to see all the places where maple can show up. Next time you bump into her, you will drop the Touching Book. She will take it, and you will get the Magic Oar in return.

12. Magic Oar -> Sea Ukulele
Go to Rafton's house (it is located in the past, he is the one who made you the raft). If you can't remember where it is, go to Lynna Village and start at the Mermaid (or Link) statue. Just keep moving down screens until you find the house (you'll need to cross the bridge on the first screen you move down to). In exchange for the Magic Oar, Rafton will give you the Sea Ukulele.

13. Sea Ukulele -> Broken Sword
Still in the past, take the east exit out of Lynna Village (the one near the Maku Tree). From the screen where the father and son are playing catch, move up one screen, right, and down. Use the hook to switch yourself over the holes, go down one screen and enter the cave. Talk to the old Zora there, he'll give you a Broken Sword in exchange for the Sea Ukulele.

13. Broken Sword -> Noble Sword
Go to Symmetry City in the past, and climb up restoration wall again. The same guy who repaired the Tuni Nut will now have another restoration ceremony in store for you, in order to repair your Broken Sword. Complete the karting mini game by hitting the monsters into the pits, and you'll get the Noble Sword!
