Link returns as right-handed only in Skyward Sword

Recently it was confirmed that players will be forced to use their right hands to swing Link's sword in Skyward Sword. Although the option to use either your left or right hand exists in other Nintendo titles, left-handed gamers will be disappointed to hear that they will have to swap to their right hands in order to play The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
In the Wii version of Twilight Princess, Link was right-handed but in the Gamecube version, Link was a lefty. This was because the game world was flipped in the Wii version, it being a mirror image of the Gamecube version and thus making Link appear right handed. Perhaps Nintendo's decision to make Skyward Sword exclusively right-handed may not be final yet, but it's probable that achieving the option to play right or left handed is not an easy task for their programmers.
