According to GameSpot, Ocarina of Time 3D is the fifth best-selling game in June worldwide, having sold just over 283,000 copies. Particularly impressive is that the game achieved this feat despite being on sale for only 2 weeks in June. Then again, this was hardly unexpected, and the sales could have been higher if the 3DS had more core games available, giving people a stronger incentive to buy a 3DS in the first place.
The 3DS has been struggling a little in terms of sales recently, so Nintendo will be somewhat relieved that their new handheld now has a best-seller. The 3DS has sold just under four million units thus far, so this means that just under ten per cent of 3DS owners will have a copy of Ocarina of Time 3D.
