Release dates: September 2006 (Japan), September 2007 (Europe)
Original Platform: Nintendo DS
Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland was released in 2006 in Japan, and made it to Europe a year later, but it was never
released in America. It was reasonably successful in Japan, selling just under a quater of a million copies
during the first year of it's release.
Although Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland may at first look like a party game (and the game does
contain many elements from that genre), there is more to it then that. The object of the game is to gather as
many rupees as possible, a task which is done through exploration, battling, and completing dungeons. The gameplay
not as in-depth as a fully fledged Legend of Zelda game, but it is entertaining. The game was generally
recieved by critics as good, but not stellar.
