There's not much going around in terms of Zelda news recently - Nintendo is keeping hushed about the next Zelda games for the 3DS and Wii U. But as always, Zelda fans are producing some cool fan works. The Youtube user above has created a life-sized, Lego Master Sword. Not only that, but he has plenty of other Lego exhibitions on display on his channel, so check them out.

A 4chan rumour says Nintendo is working on two new 3DS Zelda games, "Fire Prophecy" and "Ice Prophecy".

Edit: As I suspected, the games have been confirmed fake. Explanation will be in a subsequent news post!

Recently a rumour surfaced from 4chan which claims two new Zelda titles are in the making, and they could be dual-release titles (i.e. like Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons).

The Japanese texts on the supposedly leaked image above translates to Fire Prophecy on the left and Ice Prophecy to the right.

Could it be true? Certainly, the appeal of another set of dual-release Zelda titles is great, especially since I really enjoyed the Oracles series. As others have pointed out Nintendo has been releasing duos of games for the Pokemon series ever since Pokemon Red and Blue, so there is probably a market for these kinds of games too.

However, we need more evidence before we can consider the possibility of this rumour. The logos look 'realistic' but I'm sure there are plenty of skilled photoshop artists on 4chan as there are those with insider information from Nintendo. 4chan has proved surprisingly reliable for gaming leaks, but at the same time it is easy to spread a hoax on an anonymous site. Also, why would a game called "Ice Prophecy" feature fire in its logo?

Let's wait and see how this pans out.

Wii U might be a HD console, but Reggie Fils-Aim says the controller screen allowing for two screens of gameplay is the main selling point.

Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aim has said that the main selling point of the Wii U is not the HD graphics, but the controller screen which allows you to use up to two screens to play games with. The Wii U's graphics are set to be pretty sweet, offering full HD visuals at a possible resolution of 1080p. But Reggie says HD graphics alone are not enough to entice customers.

"The big innovation with the Wii U is the controller and the ability to have an interactive experience that leverages all of your traditional input buttons as well as a screen built right into the controller. Yes, the system is HD capable; it'll generate the most gorgeous pictures. But for us that's not enough."

"We need to continue pushing the overall experience forward. We need to bring new types of entertainment. New types of gaming and the combination of a big first screen - your home TV - coupled with a second screen in your hands, in our view, is going to bring gaming to a whole new experience and to continue driving the industry."

Feel free to add your favourite Zelda moments from the past in the comments section.

I'm sure plenty of Zelda fans remember the old days of playing N64 and Gameboy, or even before that, fondly. Here's a list of mine in no particular order, it's certainly not comprehensive but I hope you enjoy it. Also feel free to tell us about your own treasured memories.

Note that there are many spoilers here.

The Lost Woods (A Link to the Past)

The Lost Woods in the light world is one of my favourite places in A Link to the Past. The hazy clouds, colourful visuals and excellent music make it a fantatic 16-bit experience. Collecting the Master Sword is also a big highlight - when the animals dash to the sides of the forest as you make your way forward to the sacred blade, it's as if they know something amazing is about to happen.

Finishing Link's Awakening

Link's Awakening was the first Zelda game I played so I have a particularly soft spot for it. While the ending on the surface is another one of those "it was all dream!" endings, it was done fantastically well. Watching the timeless inhabitants of Koholint vanish into nothing is heartbreaking, but seeing the Wind Fish in the real world (and Marin, if you finish the game with no deaths) makes for a magical ending!

The Temple of Time (Ocarina of Time)

You may not spend much of the game inside the Temple of Time, but it is one of the most significant places in OoT. You can never forget the brilliantly haunting music, or the incredible moment when you first take the Master Sword and transform into adult Link.

Battling Ganondorf/Ganon (Ocarina of Time)

Probably my best memory of OoT. Running up the tower and discovering Ganon playing the organ was a very neat touch, and personally I think OoT features the best Ganondorf/Ganon battle - playing lightning-ball tennis never gets old.

Getting Epona (Ocarina of Time)

Epona has proved to be a particularly iconic Ocarina of Time character. Certainly, the way you obtain her is very climactic - when you finally leap over the fence in defiance of Ingo is truly a cinematic experience.

Opening Sequence (Majora's Mask)

Whether you prefer OoT to MM or not, Majora's Mask really deviated from the traditional Zelda story format. The opening sequence of MM is quite terrible if you love Link - he is knocked out by Skull kid, turned into a Deku Scrub and even though Epona turns up safe and sound later in the game, the implication that Epona has been hurt or even killed is pretty startling. In another sense, the severe harshness Link endures in the first few minutes of the game was, plot-wise, a great way of throwing Link into the strange, atmospheric world of Termina.

Fighting the Majora's Mask (Majora's Mask)

This is arguably the craziest and scariest boss battle of any Zeld game. Ganon is a fearsome enemy, but he's one we've become accostomed to. Not only did we not know that much about the Majora's Mask, but the final form was a wonderful monstrosity, as if it were straight out a horror film. Perhaps in terms of mechanics this wasn't the greatest Zelda boss battles, but it's certainly one of the most unique ones.

Sony and Microsoft probably won't reveal new consoles at E3 2012 meaning Wii U could steal the show, according to one industry expert.

With the Nintendo 3DS picking up sales, everybody is awaiting anxiously for Nintendo's new home console. The Wii U retains the original Wii's motion control capabilities plus more, whilst introducing new tablet controllers.

According to one Forbes writer, Sony and Microsoft won't be announcing new consoles for a long time yet. Sony is busy marketing the PS3, which will have a ten-year life span, whilst Microsoft is also busy promoting the 360 and Kinect. Both the next-gen Playstaton and Xbox are at least 2 years away from release, so it doesn't make sense to reveal them now.

Is this a golden opportunity for the Wii U? Possibly, though, in my view, not overwhelmingly so. It depends how willing Nintendo is to challenge Sony and Microsoft, since the few bits of information we know about the Wii U indicates it will be in more direct competition with the PS3 and 360 than the Wii is. Nintendo will have to sell a stellar console that includes top-notch online play and promising third-party support.

Skyward Sword Bottles - The locations of the empty bottles in Skyward Sword.

Unlike previous Zelda titles, Skyward Sword ditches the traditional four-bottle format in favour of... five bottles! Here's a guide on the locations os all the Skyward Sword bottles.

First Bottle (Potion Shop)
You can get this bottle towards the start of the game after the opening sequence and you've gotten your green tunic. Go to the Bazaar section Skyloft, and into the potion shop. The owner will give you a free empty bottle to put potions in.

Second Bottle (Sealed Grounds)
Right after meeting the old lady at the Sealed Grounds, look around the room and you'll find a chest with an empty bottle inside!

Third Bottle (Skyloft)
There are two side-quests you need to complete to get this bottle, but doing them doesn't take too long. First, you'll need to finish the lost child quest and then the missing sister quest (click on the links for detailed guides). As well as your gratitude crystals, you get an empty bottle for finishing these quests.

Fourth Bottle (Fire Sanctuary)
The fourth bottle is hidden in the Fire Sanctuary. It involves a little puzzling and running around so rather than explain it in words, this video I found below explains how to get the bottle well:

Fifth Bottle (Thunderhead)
This bottle is found in a Goddess Cube chest in the Thunderhead. To activate the respective Goddess Cube, go to the cave that leads to the Fire Sanctuary after the Eldin Volcano has erupted. There is a large pit of lava separating you from a grey stone slab with hylian symbols on it. A floating platform will allow you to reach the Goddess Cube. The exact location of the chest with the bottle inside is on the map below:
